Thank you to all who made the Rescue Run Corporate 5K in Lake Mary an outstanding success

Rescue Run Corporate 5K raises over $55,000 for the Rescue Outreach Mission

On behalf of the Vickaryous Law Firm, the FAMILIES and CHILDREN we serve and our board of directors, the Rescue Outreach Mission thanks you for your generous support of this organization. We are so excited to share how your generosity and participation in the Rescue Run Corporate 5K  funds programs that help prevent homelessness and helps those who are already homeless return to self-sufficiency.  The Rescue Outreach Mission is Seminole County’s only homeless shelter and transitional housing facility

Vickaryous Law Firm was the Presenting Sponsor for the Rescue Run Corporate 5K for the 2nd year.

Vickaryous Law Firm was the Presenting Sponsor for the Rescue Run Corporate 5K for the 2nd year.

We were blessed with beautiful weather once again this past Saturday, March 28, 2015!  There were 682 registered runners in this years event which currently raised over $55,000 through sponsorships, donations and race fees.  The concept behind the fundraising event is to encourage social running and camaraderie with Lake Mary’s business community and an opportunity for team building and industry competition – a widely successful campaign that continues to increase in the number of sponsorships and support year after year. The Briar Team was the Guns & Hoses Challenge Sponsor, and covered entry registrations for Seminole County’s fire fighters, law enforcement, and emergency medical technicians who compete for the title of fastest team, a trophy, and bragging rights for the year.  We are grateful for all the amazing fundraising efforts and for the huge turn out!

The 5k course saw the participants follow a flat, fast route around Oval Park, down the Seminole Trail and return on a closed off International Parkway. It was a spectacular sight to see the large turnout of runners and hear the honking of cars on Interstate 4, which runs parallel to the Parkway in Heathrow. For their efforts, all participants received a neon yellow souvenir t-shirt, a post race BBQ sponsored by Waste Pro and beer sponsored by Wayne Densch.  All of this was possible because of the contributions and community participation in the Rescue Run Corporate 5K!

Thank you all for your generous support!
